Latin Fever

London West End and UK Touring Show

Show Brief

When the opportunity arose to fulfill a long held dream to choreograph and perform their very own show, Darren & Lilia poured all their passion for Latin American dance into a show that inspired both new and old audiences across the UK as they were taken on a trip around the world of Latin American dance to experience a vibrant mix of dance styles.

The show included an explosion of Brazilian rhythms at the Carnival in Rio before moving to the sultry clubs of Buenos Aires to be seduced by the passion and intensity of Tango. Cuba beckoned with the cheeky Cha-Cha-Cha and Rumba. Then it was time to boogie to the American dance halls of the 1930s for the Swing and Jitterbug. Finally, the passion, aggression and drama of the Spanish bull ring was brought to life in the glorious Paso Doble.

Music from a live Latin Band and vocals from Noa Bodner & Greg Canestrari/Tim Howar evoked the Latin feeling with songs including Fever, Brazil, Besame Mucho, Perhaps and Livin’ La Vida Loca.

Critiques & Reviews

“The duo have such energy and old-style glamour that you are soon swept away on a wave of sequins and tassels and tail feathers.”

Sarah Frater
Evening Standard

“It's a passionate, flirty, spectacular, with their own unique and highly imaginative interpretations of all the Latin disciplines, including samba, paso doble, jive, salsa and mambo. But it's their Argentine tango that will take your breath away. Erotic, bold and seriously sexy, this courtship performance is not only the highlight of the show - it's probably the best dance routine you will ever see. It's worth the ticket money for this alone.”

Graham Walker
Sheffield Star

“Their live performances are as slick as you expect with breath-taking twirls, elegant sways, and fast-as-lightning footwork making them an inspiration. And who could forget their stunning costumes? We've signed up for our evening dance classes already!”
