Darren & Lilia

It took just 15 minutes for them to realize how good they were together. Competing in their first competitive competition together after just 5 weeks! Just five months later, they won the International and British Youth Championships, winning every dance.

They continued to have a fantastic amateur career winning the 1st of 4 British amateur Latin American championships the following year 3 UK championships and represented Great Britain at world and European championships until they turned professional.

Turning Professional in 2003 they won the British Rising Star Professional Latin Championships at their first attempt beating 250 couples for this prestigious title. They continued their success making the final of the Italian & Dutch Opens and World Masters. Within their first year of being professional they achieved a ranking in the top 6 of the World Series Ranking.

In 2004 they continued to make all major finals all over the world competing in Japan, China and even the Kremlin in Moscow. One of their biggest achievements as competitive dancers was making the final of the World Latin American Championships and becoming members of the British team for the following four consecutive years. They also won the British South American show dance Championships that same year. 2005 was another amazing year, Darren and Lilia continued with their competitive careers which saw them becoming British National Latin Champions after being placed first in all 5 dances as well as UK professional Latin Champions, European Professional Latin Finalists in Moscow and member of the British team.

In 2006 they retained their British Professional Latin title as well as performing,training, and choreographing all over the world. At this point Darren and Lilia made the hard decision to concentrate on shows performing all over the world.
